Today we’re clearing out your refrigerator!
There’s nothing worse that opening the fridge to see it full and realize there’s a bunch of old wasted food. There is also nothing better than opening a clean fridge full of healthy food that you can easily identify and enjoy. It brings a feeling a gratitude and appreciation for the blessing of having food to eat in the first place.
It’s the simplest things in our life that have the biggest impact.
I know it can feel daunting to even think about clearing out your refrigerator, but trust me, it will be well worth it. Just go for it! I did mine a week ago and if felt fantastic! Now every time I open the fridge it makes me feel happy and excited to eat.
Let’s get started…
- Have the garbage and composting pail handy and the sink and dishwasher ready to go.
- Pull everything out. Sort what needs to be thrown out or composted and what is good to keep.
- Notice what kinds of food have expired, what did you not use? Maybe you don’t need to buy those things again.
- Then clean the fridge, take out the shelves and wash them. Clean up the crumbs and spills.
A clean and decluttered refrigerator will inspire you to keep up with it in the new year!
