Today we’re decluttering your papers! Not to worry we are only tackling one pile.

Every journey begins with one small step so let’s get started on your journey decluttering your papers, one step at a time.

  1. Pick just one drawer, one file, one box or one pile of paper to go through.
  2. Then, clear off a space that you can use to go through the papers.
  3. Take all those papers out and start sorting. Put the papers in different piles to categorize them. If you find recipes make a recipe pile. When you find a bill, make a pile for bills. If you come across anything that you instantly know you don’t need then put it in the recycling pile.

Okay, before we go any further consider this…

According to The Small Business Administration, 80% of the papers we file, we never refer to again. So I highly recommend you shift your perspective on how much you actually need to keep.

Yes, there are some papers that we absolutely must keep. But for everything else…ask yourself, is this piece of paper enhancing my life-force energy? Will it be helpful to take with me into the new year? If not let it go and be free.

I hope that was helpful! If you’d like to take your decluttering to a transformative level, then please join me for Simplify to Thrive! My 5-week live online decluttering course where you’ll learn how to create a home that will replenish your vitality so you can flourish in the new year!
