A healing morning routine is having a gratitude practice.
The practice of gratitude is very healing. You can turn a bad day into a good day. You can turn a heavy life into a light life. There are always many things to be grateful for and it’s easy to forget that. When you begin your day with gratitude you won’t forget. You will see all the blessings through out your day.
Gratitude opens our heart. It connects us to the living world. It brings connection to life. We are always in relationship with life but we forget and when we don’t give back to life with appreciation that is when life gets heavy and lonely and dark.
How do you start your day with gratitude?
There is not one right way but here is one way. Begin the day by sitting or standing in prayer and speak your gratitude for the new day, the sun, the wind, the water that gives you life, the plants, the earth, the food you will eat, your home, your family and friends.
If you simply take the time to list what is in your life and give thanks you will see how many relationships you have to give thanks for. You can also go outside and look up at the sky and give thanks in that way.
